Welcome to the Foothills Library Association
The objective of the FLA is to bring together individuals within the Calgary library community to share and promote the concerns of the library and information professions.
Membership is open to people interested in the information professions. The cost is $25 per year, and the membership year runs from September to August. To join, print the Membership Application which can be found on our Membership page. Contact the membership director at membership@fla.org for more information.

FLA Events
- CLIA 2008 - Libraries: no shirt, no shoes, no service? Limiting patron behaviour in the library!
- FLA Travel Grant!
Join us for a thoughtful look at what's going on in our libraries and what, if anything, we out to do about it. The event will feature two short presentations and then a debate featuring members of our own library community (which means you, so check out the "job posting" and volunteer). RSVP by March 6th. Please follow the link above for more information on speakers and activities.
The Foothills Library Association offers an annual travel grant to assist members with the cost of attending a conference. Applicants must be FLA members in good standing (non-members who wish to apply may join by filling out the membership form at www.fla.org). Applicants must also not have other sources of funding, such as reimbursements from an employer, or other grants.
