    • FLA is happy to announce Calgary Libraries in Action 2008
    Libraries: no shirt, no shoes, no service? Limiting patron behaviour in the library!
    Join us for a thoughtful look at what's going on in our libraries and what, if anything, we ought to do about it. The event will feature two short presentations and then a debate featuring members of our own library community (which means you, so check out the "job posting" and volunteer)

  • Debate: Speaking against limits - Alice Swabey & Gerry Burger-Martindale

    Foothills Library Association Travel Grant

    The Foothills Library Association offers an annual travel grant to assist members with the cost of attending a conference. Applicants must be FLA members in good standing (non-members who wish to apply may join by filling out the membership form at www.fla.org). Applicants must also not have other sources of funding, such as reimbursements from an employer, or other grants.
